Frequently Asked Questions

We’re a product design studio. We help teams design and validate high-trust digital journeys, the kind where getting the details wrong has real consequences: onboarding for a bank, identity verification for a government service, a donation flow for an NGO. Our work spans trust audits, product strategy, UX and interface design, research and validation, and design systems, among other services. The full list is on our What We Do page.

Founders, product teams and public-sector organisations building digital products across Africa, mostly in fintech, identity and verification, giving and disbursement, insurance, and govtech. If your product handles money, identity, or someone’s trust in a public service, that’s the kind of work we’re built for.

We talk first. If there’s a fit, we send a proposal or statement of work setting out the scope, deliverables, timeline and fees. Nothing is billed until you accept that in writing. The full terms are on our Terms & Conditions page.

It depends on the scope, so we don’t publish fixed packages. A trust audit is a smaller, focused engagement; a full product build is a longer one. We quote per engagement once we understand what you need, and quotations are valid for 30 days.

Anywhere from a couple of weeks for a focused piece of work, like a trust audit or a research sprint, to several months for a full product build. We’ll give you a realistic timeline as part of the proposal, not a generic promise.

No. AfriUX is registered in South Africa, but we work with teams anywhere on the continent. Most of our collaboration happens remotely, and we travel when the work calls for it.
Not right now, but we’re always keen to hear from designers, researchers and engineers across Africa. The best way to stay in the loop is to follow us on LinkedIn; that’s where we’ll post roles as they open.
Email us at hello@afriux.com or use the form on our Contact page. We read everything ourselves; there’s no call centre to route you through.
AfriUX is built for organisations managing complex, high-trust services, including public institutions, development organisations and financial-services teams. We are particularly suited to work involving multiple actors, approvals, verification, evidence and accountability.
No. Interface design is one part of the work. We also design the workflows behind the interface, including roles, approvals, evidence requirements, handovers and recovery when something goes wrong. Explore the full range of services on our What We Do page.
